Black Leo and Noble Squad draw daggers By Abdul Kabia Popular musical group in the country Black Leo has accused Noble Squad (another musical group in the east) of releasing an insulting single against them. This, according to report, has resulted to beef between the two groups as both are now threatening to go into kicks and blows whenever they meet. In a telephone interview with Citizen Radio, Kao Denero said the track released by Noble Squad is an indirect swipe at him (and Black Leo in general). When asked if he had ever made a complaint to All Stars president Base Aphonix, Kao said he did not because he did not recognize Base as president. Sources close to Kao has intimated KES that the self acclaimed King of Freetown hip-hop will soon released a single to counter the one by Noble Squad. On their part, Innocent of Noble Squad said the accusation by Black Leo (especially, Kao Denero) lacks merit. He said Noble Squad have nothing against Black Leo or Kao Denero. Innocent said they are revolutionary musicians attacking issues that affect society. “We sing songs which inspire change of attitude and behaviors among Sierra Leoneans,” said Innocent. In another development, sources say Problem M of Black Leo in one of his songs in his recent album, ‘The Return of the player man’, directly attacked De Dreamer of Noble Squad, ‘using all sorts of obscene languages’. When KES contacted De Dreamer he said he had nothing against Problem M. |
